Quill & Pearl Presents is based in Penarth, South Wales, and run by accomplished creative husband-and-wife team,
Kit Lambert and Oola Pearl.
With over 50 years of combined experience in performance and arts, we possess a unique skill set and a firm belief that “making art is a proper job!"
We are committed to excellence in everything we do, and are passionate about providing opportunities on stage for other artists.
THE QUILL
Kit Lambert
Kit has spent the last 16 years working as a professional writer for stage and screen.
His first stage play, ‘The Custom House’ was performed at Sherman Theatre, Cardiff, and was shortlisted for the Kings Cross New Writing Award. He has since worked with a wide range of companies including Hijinx Theatre, Paines Plough, Clwyd Theatr Cymru, Likely Story Theatre, Dirty Protest, and others.
Over recent years, Kit has built a reputation in television crime drama, writing murderous scripts for BBC Studios, ITV, Channel 5, Sky, BritBox US, and Acorn TV. As such, he has left a long trail of dead bodies and discombobulated detectives in his wake.
Kit is currently lead writer and Executive Producer on new TV series "The Detection Club" for BBC Studios.
He has twice been nominated for a Royal Television Society Midlands Award (Best Writer), and was on the judging panel for the BAFTA Cymru Awards.
THE PEARL
Oola Pearl
A sought-after talent on the cabaret circuit, Oola has graced stages with esteemed companies like The Ministry of Burlesque, The Gilded Merkin, Hundred Watt Club, and The Lucky 7 Club. Her performances have lit up festivals across the UK and Europe, and she delights audiences with her camp characters and sophisticated silliness.
A passionate advocate for burlesque as an artform, she co-produced the acclaimed Wales Burlesque Festival in 2024.
Before arriving at the rhinestoned gates of burlesque Oola amassed an impressive creative CV, with work including television, radio and commercial actor, model, singer, artist, craft business owner, children’s entertainer, festival organiser, event planner, science communicator, planetarium presenter, show developer, trainer, and visual artist.
Away from the spotlight Oola is also a skilled silversmith with her own jewellery brand, a multi-discipline artist with a yarn stash you can see from space, and has a keen interest in nature restoration.
